Buslink CipherShield 4TB 256-bit Encrypted External Hard Drive with Collateral Access Mode provides two layers of protection for your most sensitive and highly confidential data. It enables companies to access and exchange confidential data securely across organizational boundaries. To gain access to the drive, authentication will be based on two leveled Cipher Keys - one primary key, and one secondary key. Unlike the secondary key that has to be plugged in while accessing and working with the drive; the primary key is only needed to unlock/activate the drive. Once the drive is unlocked, the primary key can be put away.  The two level access control design is suitable for organizations with tiered or multi-level security clearance into company's classified information. For example, executive-level officer like President, IT director, or supervisor will hold the primary key, while the secondary key can be given to the end user who uses the drive on regular basis. 

The collateral authentication method ensures high level of data integrity and security, thus supporting organization compliance efforts with federal regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), or Sarbanes-Oxley Act. CipherShield Encrypted Drive with Collateral Access Mode will automatically lock down its content once power is shut off. And with the primary keys properly safeguarded by the owner, the data will not be seen or accessed in the event of theft or loss of the external drive.
